Help Me Spread Joy to More People with My Music
Hi, I’m Nate Hance—a Twin Cities pianist trying to balance art, bills, and big dreams.
For 15 years, I’ve made a living as a full-time musician—but like many artists, I’ve had to prioritize gigs that pay the bills. Now, with two little ones in daycare (hello, second mortgage!), that pressure is even greater. Yet I don’t want to wait until retirement to share music where it matters most.
That’s why I’m carving out time during weekdays (while my 6-month-old and 2-year-old are at daycare) to bring piano performances to:
🎹 Schools – Where budget cuts leave kids with few arts opportunities.
❤️ Hospice & Nursing Homes – I now volunteer with hospice and low-income memory care centers, because music brings comfort when words can’t.
Why This Matters:
Kids need creativity – Testing pressure is up, arts funding is down. My interactive shows (Wheel of Genres, upside-down piano!) remind students that music = joy, not just perfection.
Older adults need connection – In hospice and memory care, a familiar tune can be a lifeline.
How You Can Help:
💙 Donate – Even $5 helps offset daycare costs so I can keep playing for underserved audiences. Monthly supporters get exclusive performance videos.
🤝 Book Me – Schools/nonprofits with tiny budgets? Let’s make it work. (Zoom concerts too!)
Why Not Just Chase Paying Gigs?
Because music shouldn’t only go to the highest bidder. Crowdfunding lets me say "yes" to schools and seniors now—without waiting for grants or perfect timing.
Let’s prove art can thrive and serve.
